The Best Pumpkin Patches and Corn Mazes Near Ann Arbor

A family of four can pay $108, or nothing.

Both of those are real prices at real farms within forty minutes of Ann Arbor, on the same Saturday, for an afternoon that looks roughly the same in photos. That is the thing no fall roundup tells you, and it is the only thing worth knowing before you load the car.

There are two admission models out here and they are not labeled. Some farms charge one ticket at the gate that covers everything. Others let you walk in free and charge three to five dollars per ride, which is cheaper if your kid wants the corn maze and nothing else, and much more expensive if they want all of it. A third group is just a farm stand with pumpkins in front, no wristband, no maze, in and out in ten minutes.

So this is sorted by what you pay and what the ticket actually buys. Every price, season window and closed day below was checked against the farm’s own website on 19 September 2026.

One standing warning before the list: attractions at these places rotate in and out mid-season as crops come in and weather moves. Call the number before you drive out for one specific thing.

The big one, and what the ticket really covers

Wiard’s Orchards and Country Fair, Ypsilanti

This is the answer most people are looking for, the closest thing the area has to a full fall theme park, and the one where the ticket structure matters most.

A weekday ticket is $18 and a weekend ticket is $27, and that gap is not just a surcharge. The weekday ticket opens roughly nine core attractions: the corn maze, the Old West wagon ride, the petting farm, Fort Wiard mini golf, the playgrounds. The weekend ticket adds about nine more, and the added ones are the loud ones your kids came for, including the mega triple slide, the apple cannon, fire engine rides, the bungee run and the Wiard’s 500 pedal tractor races. A quiet Thursday for $18 is the better deal for small children. A Saturday with eight year olds is worth the $27.

Two more things the price page buries. U-pick apples and u-pick pumpkins are pay for what you pick, charged on top of admission, so the gate ticket is a floor and not a ceiling. And babies 23 months and under are free, which matters when you are pricing a group.

As of 19 September their own attractions page flags the corn maze as temporarily closed, along with a few others that move in and out of service. Nothing about that is unusual in mid September, but if the maze is the whole reason for the trip, phone 734-482-7744 first. A season pass runs $46 if you expect to come back.

After dark the same grounds turn into Night Terrors, a separate haunted operation with its own ticket, gates at 7:15 p.m. on scheduled nights, running to about $36.75 for the multi-attraction pass. That is a different evening and a different audience, not an add-on to the family afternoon.

Free to walk in, pay for what you do

Three Cedars Farm, Northville

No entrance fee at all, which makes this the flexible option and the one that saves money when your group wants different things. You pay by activity: the corn maze is $5 a person, hayrides are $5 each or $10 for a family, train rides and the merry-go-round are $4. The maze itself is seven acres, and the u-pick pumpkin field runs about five acres with pricing by size.

A family that does the maze and one hayride gets out for well under what one Wiard’s weekend ticket costs. A family that rides everything twice does not. Do that arithmetic in the parking lot, not after.

The late closing is the other reason to know this place. Friday and Saturday they stay open to 10 p.m., which is the only genuinely evening option in this guide that is not a haunted attraction.

Blake’s South Lyon

Worth reading this entry for the name alone. The farm at 61475 Silver Lake Rd operated for decades as Erwin Orchards, and a great many fall lists still send people there under that name. Blake Farms took the property over and it now runs as Blake’s South Lyon. Same address, same orchard, different sign, and the old name will not get you a working phone number.

It is also the cheapest ride access on this list by a wide margin. The Funland wristband is $4.95 on weekdays and $7.95 on weekends, covering the corn maze, the tractor ride, straw mountain, the tricycle track and the petting farm on weekends. Compare that to $27 at a gate ticket farm and the difference for a family of four is substantial.

One ticket at the gate

Maybury Farm, Northville

A short, well defined season and the tightest weekday window in this guide. The corn maze runs 26 September to 1 November 2026, and on weekdays the farm is only open 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., which rules out most after-school trips. Saturday to 8 p.m. and Sunday to 7 p.m. are the real visiting windows.

General admission is $8, children under two free, with last general admission entry at 4 p.m. and later hours held for corn maze visitors. Some ticket resellers advertise a higher corn maze price than the farm’s own general admission figure, so confirm which ticket you are buying when you book. 248-374-0200.

The Petting Farm at Domino’s Farms, Ann Arbor

The one you can reach without leaving town, which for a weeknight with a three year old is the whole argument. It is on Earhart Rd, ten minutes from most of the north side, and it runs year round rather than for six weeks.

Admission is $8, seniors 60 and over $5.50, and there is a $40 family rate that beats paying per head once you are past five people. Under 23 months is free. Animal feed is $3 and hayrides, when they run, are $5. Autumn Days brings the seasonal pumpkin programming on October weekends, though the farm had not posted exact 2026 dates as of this writing, so call 734-998-0182 if you are coming specifically for that.

Note the unusual Sunday schedule: the farm opens at noon and stays open to 6 p.m., later than any other day of its week.

Just want a pumpkin

No wristband, no maze, no three hour commitment. These are the stops where you buy a pumpkin and a donut and go home.

Jenny’s Farm Stand and Cider Mill, Dexter

The most generous hours of anything in this guide, open every day 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., on a working farm that has been at it for two centuries. There is a pumpkin patch, a hay maze, hayrides, pony rides and a petting zoo, plus cider and donuts, and none of it requires planning around a gate ticket. If you want one stop that covers pumpkins and a snack without a schedule, this is it.

Lesser Farms and Orchard, Dexter

Be clear on what this one is before you drive out, because the name gets it misfiled on u-pick lists every year. Lesser does not offer u-pick. The pumpkins are pre-picked, from small to extra large, arranged in a patch that is set up for photographs rather than for hunting through a field. For a lot of families with small kids that is the better version anyway, and the apples and pears here are the reason locals stop.

The closed days are the trap: Monday and Tuesday, both of them, all season.

Wasem Fruit Farm, Milan

Genuine u-pick for both apples and pumpkins, with the pumpkins coming in during October rather than early September. Same Monday and Tuesday closure as Lesser, which means a Dexter and Milan double trip has to happen Wednesday through Sunday or not at all. Their site has gone in and out of service in past seasons, so the phone is the reliable channel.

Kapnick Orchards, Britton

Worth the drive, about thirty five minutes south into Lenawee County, and the only one here with free wagon rides out to the patch rather than a per-ride charge. The Apple Festival lands on the second weekend of October and is the busiest day of their year.

One caution on hours. The farm market keeps long daily hours, but u-pick and the wagon rides out to the pumpkins run on a narrower schedule that shifts with the crop, and their site does not publish those separately. Call 517-423-7419 and ask specifically about u-pick before you go.

In town, no drive at all

If the pumpkin is the point and the farm is not, two places downtown will sell you one.

The Ann Arbor Farmers Market on Detroit St runs Wednesday and Saturday, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., through December, and October is when the pumpkin and squash tables take over the pavilion. Argus Farm Stop on West Liberty is open daily 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and stocks local pumpkins through the season, which makes it the answer at 7 p.m. on a Tuesday when nothing else is open.

And if you are already driving to Dexter for Lesser or Jenny’s, the Dexter Cider Mill is four minutes away, open Wednesday to Sunday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., cash or check only. Donuts there are the correct end to a pumpkin trip.

How to plan it

The season is shorter than it feels. Most of these close in the first days of November, and the last two weekends of October are the busiest of the year at every single one of them.

Closed days, which do not line up: Wiard’s is shut Monday and Tuesday. Lesser and Wasem are both shut Monday and Tuesday. Maybury is shut Monday. Three Cedars, Jenny’s, Blake’s and the Petting Farm are open seven days.

If you only have one afternoon and small children, take a weekday at Wiard’s for $18 or a free walk-in at Three Cedars. If you have older kids who want every ride, pay the $27 on a Saturday and get your money back in slides. If you want a pumpkin and your evening back, Argus is open until eight.
