These are the terms for using MiAnnArbor.com. Using the site means you accept them.
What this site is
An independent local guide and business directory for Ann Arbor and the surrounding towns. It is not affiliated with the City of Ann Arbor, the University of Michigan, any chamber of commerce, or any visitors bureau.
Information here may be wrong
Hours change, kitchens close early, businesses shut without telling anyone. Much of what is on this site was compiled from public sources and is not guaranteed to be accurate or current. Call ahead before you drive anywhere. We correct what we are told about, but we cannot promise a listing is right at the moment you read it.
Claiming a listing
Claiming is free. When you claim, you confirm you are authorised to act for that business. A person reviews each claim before approving it, so it is not instant. We can decline or reverse a claim if it looks like it was not made by the business.
Once a listing is yours, what you put on it is your responsibility: it needs to be accurate, it needs to be yours to publish, and it must not be unlawful. You keep ownership of anything you upload, and you give us permission to show it on the site. We can remove content that breaks these terms.
Paid features
Some features are paid. Prices are shown before you buy. Subscriptions renew until cancelled, and you can cancel from your account at any time, which stops the next renewal. Payments are handled by Stripe.
If something you paid for does not work, email hello@miannarbor.com and we will refund it or fix it. We would rather refund you than argue.
Using the site
Do not scrape the directory wholesale, do not submit anything false or unlawful, do not impersonate a business, and do not try to break the site. We can suspend accounts that do.
Our content
The writing, page design and original photography on this site belong to us. Business names, logos and photographs supplied by the businesses belong to them. You are welcome to link to us.
Links elsewhere
We link to other websites. What happens on those sites is between you and them.
Liability
The site is provided as it is. We are not liable for losses arising from relying on information here, from a business you found through us, or from the site being unavailable. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the State of Michigan.
Changes
If these terms change, the date at the top changes with it.
