The selection is assembled by people who read it, which is why the psychology section stands up next to a university shelf rather than collapsing into one sad rack labelled New Age.One thing to know before you go. The upstairs tea room, which the shop was known for across four decades, never reopened after the pandemic. That space is now rented for private events. There is no barista and no table service, so come for the books rather than the tea.Opening is 11am every day. Closing is 6pm Sunday through Tuesday and 9pm Wednesday through Saturday. The shop's own site lists Friday to 10pm while its Google listing says 9pm, so call (734) 665-2757 if you are arriving after nine on a Friday.
